The days are just becoming tougher || Back to top

Hey guys,

guess what? you guys won't wanna join my basketball team's physic workout that my coach had planned for us. After i did those workouts in bukit batok nature reserve yesterday, i felt like i was in hell. Fortunately God saved me. Actually, it wasn't only I who suffered like that, i believe others too.

We went the entrance of the nature reserve where there was a super long and steep hill and on top was some war memorial thing plus a super long flight of steps. When we had arrived, and warmed up, we started a jog down the approximately 200- 300m or more hill, then up to the inside of the park near the rent houses which was about another 200m or so, then down the hill again, and finally, up. its was already a torturing run, which caused our muscles to become to exhausted.

Next, it was time for the sprints. That was the killer one. First sprint was up the steepest part of the slope for 1 lamb pole distance, which is about 30m. At that moment, i felt my butt and quads were extremely tired. After doing the 2nd and 3rd sprint with a distance of about 60m or 90m, my butt quads and hamstrings was already cramping. I started to feel giddy also.

Then, it was the sprint up the flight of steps in at least 35 secs. It was the minimum to pass. I'm not sure about my timing but i was sure that the moment i stopped the sprint, I was like some crazy man, desperate to get out of the burning hell. My head was spinning, gastric juice was erupting, body was burning. I walked down the steps slowly, with my eye balls rolling, wobbly legs crossing each other and i realised i was moving side to side. I really wanted to just roll down the steps, it was so difficult going down. I just couldn't think properly. My brains just wanted to explode. There was a problem with the blood circulation. In my mind, I just said "God help me".

At last I got down that 'great wall'. I promise you guys don't wanna get yourself so tired up a hill cause you'll 'die' from going down. LOL. I was seriously desperate for water and you know what? there wasn't hardly any water left. I drank a few sips and just laid down on my bag. Minutes later, i slept for while. By the way, i vomited water while climbing down the steps. I handle the giddiness. i woke up and sat up. When the blood was somewhat circulating again, my whole body went numb for a while. I literally couldn't feel anything. I stood up and started to walk and the circulation came back. I felt better.

Walking down the slope was another challenge. My calves were cramping as i walked down. My brother, Bart and I walked down with our arms around our shoulders. My eye balls were like rolling up, down, left and right. Bart asked me a few math questions like 1+1, and 9+4, etc. for the 9+4 question, i took quite some time to answer. However I started to get well, giddiness got less and i could answer tougher math questions. haha.

Well the training was over... and my bro and i walked home, while others took bus home. That was one the toughest trainings I've had. nonetheless my team will be doing more of it. I think I'll be okay after adapting to it.

Exams are over || Back to top

Exams are OVER!!!

now we can experience the greatness of the temporary period of no-studying. The sad thing is after this short break, everything resumes back to normal, but my crazy friends and i still remains as crazy as ever like what we did yesterday at Sentosa, probably the most loved place in Singapore. Praise God it rained early in the morning but stopped!

Nicholas, Benjamin, Nicole (guy), Chongwei, brother (peter), Clara, Desiree, and I had a fantastic time in Sentosa and Vivocity... hopefully. We woke up early, met at batok, and i was late as usual. Not to give and readers a bad impression of me, but there was really a problem with the 173 bus in the morning. Anyways, sorry friends... ~.~!

We played some beach ball at sentosa, kinda had fun cause we challenged people like we used to do. I can see that Nicholas, Benjamin, Nicole, and bro had improved. NOT BAD. Then we went for a dip in the sea. But before that, my legs got 'buried'. hehe. After dipping, we continued to play beach ball.

Washed up, and we headed to Vivo. We bought ANGELS AND DEMONS movie tickets and then ate at Carl's junior. What a great place to have our lunch. The burger was almost satisfying but still not. HAHA. i had preferred a bigger one.

3... 2... 1... and its ANGELS AND DEMONS! I seriously hoped that the movie would be a good one. I don't wanna waste my 8.50 dollars for a boring movie. It turned out to be a extremely thrilling and heart-pounding show. It was a movie which makes you guess the murderers and give you the answer "sorry, it's not him, it's that one". The climax was continuously going up and down with extremely interesting plots that the murderer had set up even until the end. It made those who were about to sleep, jump out of their seats. okay, maybe i was exaggerating a little.

yesterday was just a great day cause after the movie, we went into the national geographic place at vivo, and guess who we saw? Mr Goh with his girlfriend. HAHAHAHAHA.... He helped to take a pict of us and when we came out, we met michelle wong, so we told her what happened and i guessed she gave mr goh another surprise :D.

This 'free' period is going to end but i hope my clique and i can have good time before my trainings and tuition and school resumes and have to study for EYE. Hope i can get the picts taken yesterday soon.

God bless my holidays.

Heavy burden off my shoulders. || Back to top

The mid year exam started with a "exceptionally interesting" paper- chinese. WOW! A tough subject for me. For all the test since the start of the year, i've been failing it.

Today was kind of different. After doing some studying or rather, extreme mugging, i think i might do better for this paper. what i meant was those text book questions. I'm not sure about the others, but i've done my best, and God shall do the rest. :D Hopefully my grades will be better than just a pass.

30th April 2009, marks the end of the 'b' boys inter-schools basketball tournament. Presbyterian  high won Newtown sec. After my chinese paper, my brother and i planned to get down to jurong east indoor sports hall to watch the finals. Other friends didn't want to go, so there goes the opportunity.

I didn't watch the game but I believe both teams played well, especially weng xiang. I pity them cause they are having their finals during the exam period, but whatever the situation, a good athlete does well in both sports and in academics.

God bless them, God bless you.
