Thank God || Back to top

This week and the previous one has been a great one. Last week, something happened in the midnight while I was asleep. The fins of the fan somehow managed to get loose and hit onto the casing violently, causing a super loud and irritating sound. It broke through the casing and kind of spin out vigorously, slicing the floor, and breaking itself into pieces. I was right beside the fan. The cage flew out and fell on me, but that was hardly anything, it did not hurt at all. what I was worried about was the dangerous fins that might crash onto me. In the middle of my sleep, I heard a loud rattling sound. It was so loud that even my parents from the other room woke up. Immediately, I knew it was the fan, but I was lazy to open my eyes. In my mind, I thought, "okay... relax, nothing's happening, just some problem with the fan." However, when i heard the fins crashed onto the floor, I opened my eyes and felt shocked, at the same time, relieved. Shocked that the fins actually came out, relieved because it did not hit me.

Three days ago, during my basketball training, another accident happened. As you all know, passionate basketball players are usually ambitious and want to try new things. Well, I was no different from them. Some of you may know, some may not, but after watching Lebron James doing blocks in a video, 'Chase-down' blocks to be more specific, I wanted to try some. In a game with another team (Match against teams that were formed during training), I saw an opportunity for me to do a Chase-down block while a teammate was fast-breaking. I ran straight towards him with an intention to block the ball ONLY, but unfortunately, I tripped on his leg while we both were already in the air. I completely lost control and went to the direction of the wall in high speed. "Bang!" My body, including my head crashed on the wall. Usually, one might suffer a serious bruise on his head or even sprains on his ankles. As for me, I got up and continued the game.

Still amazed by these events, I thank God for being with me wherever I am and protecting me.

You can find this video which inspired me below. Hope You'll be inspired too.

Hope I'll do it right the next time.
