I thank God for this opportunity to be part of the National team, representing Singapore in the FIBA asia games. It's a one-in-a-life-time thing and though I wasn't the main player, at least I got to play and experience this tournament. It's been an eye-opening experience to be able to see where my nation truly stands among the 16 countries, and how good the players really are. This time, it was good to have at least achieved something- 14th position, not the last anymore. I've learned much from this trip to Malaysia, but there will be no improvement until action is done. So this month, it's all in the mind, it's up to my decision, I'm going to improve. Some people expect an immediate change in your capabilities and skills right after the 10 days of international competition like this one. I'm just wondering how is that possible if you had only contributed a little bit in every game, and hardly had trainings because they were replaced with rest? To me, I saw so much in basketball through this trip, but I can't be a superstar immediately. Practice is the solution and that's what I'm committed to do. |
